Safety accumulator provides power assist to the brakes even if the engine stalls. The standard system offers 2-5 brake applications. A new remote system is design to move the accumulator off the Hydro-Assist unit allowing custom installation. Size of accumulator is also increased to provide up to 20 brake applications if the engine stalls.

It uses your power steering pump to provide assist and mounts in the stock location between the firewall and your master cylinder like a vacuum booster. This unit typically puts out 1300 psi at the wheels to a maximum of 1600 psi. On a full size vehicle, disc brakes need approx 1500 psi for maximum braking.
